CHILD care
A child's welfare is perhaps the single biggest concern of every parent and guardian. Sadly, not every parent can provide full time care to their child because of work commitments, illness or other factors. Child care services exist to relieve this burden from parents and to offer a safe & secure environment in which children can grow, learn and develop.
There are several different child care options open to parents. You will find that some options are more suitable for children of a certain age, whilst others are all-encompassing of any age.
A popular child care choice is the employment of a registered childminder. In the UK, childminders are registered with and monitored by Ofsted, and are inspected annually for quality of service and environment. Childminders normally look after children in their own home, and can make use of all local facilities including the library, park and drop-in groups such as a toddlers group or baby gym.
Day nurseries are another favourite of parents who need their child to be looked after for several hours each day. Generally, day nurseries cater for 3 - 5 year olds, and offer a stimulating environment in which they can learn through play.
