cialis
Cialis is an oral medication that can be taken to help men overcome erectile dysfunction (ED). It creates the ability for ED sufferers to achieve an erection that lasts long enough for sexual intercourse to take place.
ED is a huge problem for men of all ages. It is estimated that as many as a third of men under the age of 50 suffer from ED, and that all men will have experienced at least short-term impotency by the time they turn 70. A repeated failure to achieve an erection when stimulated is the definition of ED. In older men it is generally caused by the inability of the pelvic muscles around the penis to engorge the penis tissue with enough blood for an erection, or to maintain a sufficient level of blood in the penis until sexual intercourse takes place.
Cialis, a PDE-5 inhibitor, restores a man's ability to spontaneously achieve an erection when stimulated. Cialis blocks the phosphodiesterase-5 enzyme, relaxing the smooth muscle tissue in the penis, and increasing the rate of blood flow into the penis. Erections can be attained within 12 hours of taking Cialis, and as the drug remains active for up to 48-hours, further erections can be had for up to two days afterwards.
