Looking for a hair removal solution that works? There are many products available in the marketplace today that provide temporary or permanent hair removal. There are also some hair removal products out there that don't work, some of which are scams where people have paid money for products that do not work. Careful research is required to be sure that the hair removal solution you choose will work for you.
Temporary hair removal options are familiar to many of us. Top of the list is of course shaving, but hairs typically grow back quickly, and if the area has not been shaved before, the hairs may be darker in appearance. For a more prolonged stint of hair-free skin waxing is recommended. Hot wax applied to the skin and then a strip of cloth or paper pressed into it makes an ideal surface with which to rip hairs away from the follicles. Waxing though can be messy, although hair growth is stunted for up to two or three weeks after treatment.
Permanent hair removal options include electrolysis. This is a technique where a thin hair-like probe is applied to the hair follicle containing a hair. A small electric current passes through the probe into the follicle, damaging the area sufficiently to prevent new hair growth. Laser hair removal, which thermally damages the follicle area, is also gaining in popularity.
