The operators are very knowledgeable, and in the event that they cannot answer your query directly they will find an expert who can and get back to you within minutes. If you or your child suddenly become ill NHS Direct will be able to advice you on what the illness is, whether you need to seek immediate medical assistance and what you can do to relieve the problem yourself.
