The Best Times To Diet

Right, it’s summer time and if you’re anything like me you’ll be kicking yourself for not preparing your body for shorts season when the ground was covered with snow in January.

Why is it that the winter makes dieting so hard? I know the obvious answer to this question of course. We’re animals first and foremost and therefore need to store our fat for the colder weather…but we don’t live in caves and wear loincloths anymore. This Is The 21st Century, Clothes And Duvet Days Exist!

Forgive my frustration, but it just doesn’t seem to make any sense to me. We eat less during the months where we need to have already lost the weight for holidays and bikini tops? Come on, where’s the fairness in that?

It has recently come to my attention that the best time to diet is in the morning. Forget seasons, we have one of these every day, all year round.

Going all morning without breakfast is like trying to drive to work with no fuel; potentially damaging and likely to make you break down and get angry.

Therefore, no matter what the weather is like outside, always have breakfast. But then there’s the whole ‘what do I eat to stay healthy’ deal, right?

Foods and Drinks

Simple answer: Diet shakes!

These miracle drinks are filling, full of important vitamins and won’t make you feel like you’ve got to rush your breakfast before you start working. They can be taken with you in a nice flask or easily prepped at the office.

Diet shakes are also great for the morning because they come in fruity or sweet flavors that will satisfy your cravings for something a bit naughty, whilst filling you up until lunchtime.

Besides, going without breakfast slows down your metabolism and makes you eat more at lunch when there’s less time to burn it all off.

So no matter what the weather outside is like, drink diet shakes and you could see inches start melting away in time for next summer.
